Works perfectly for all brand name machines as well!!

Briefly:

Run oemtoolkit.exe as Admin.
Reboot
Run cmd as Admin.
Install the certificate by typing slmgr -ilc
Type slmgr -ipk

Vista activated
check by typing this
slmgr -dlv or by going in system properties
